“As a leader in one of the UAE’s foremost lubricant manufacturing companies, how do you see customer expectations evolving in emerging markets today?”
In emerging markets, customer expectations are shifting rapidly, driven by globalization, technological advancements, and sustainability goals. Traditionally, the focus was primarily on price and availability. Today, however, customers are seeking value-driven solutions that go beyond basic performance.
We see three major changes:
Performance & Reliability First – Customers now demand lubricants that ensure longer drain intervals, reduced downtime, and compatibility with modern, high-performance engines and machinery.
Sustainability & Compliance – With increasing awareness of environmental impact, clients expect eco-friendly formulations, low-emission solutions, and products that align with international regulatory standards.
Service & Partnership Approach – Buyers are no longer looking for just a supplier; they want a trusted partner who provides technical support, tailored solutions, and after-sales guidance.
At Dana Lubricants Factory LLC, we’ve embraced these changes by investing in advanced R&D, sustainable product lines, and customer-focused services. Our aim is not only to meet expectations but to anticipate them—delivering innovation, reliability, and value to customers across all emerging markets.
“As a woman leading in a highly technical and traditionally male-dominated industry, what key leadership lessons have shaped your journey, and how do you view the future of diversity and inclusion within the sector?”
My journey has been shaped by resilience, adaptability, and a strong belief in leading by example. Early in my career, I realized that technical knowledge alone was not enough—I had to earn trust and credibility through consistency, collaboration, and the ability to bring fresh perspectives to complex challenges.
A few leadership lessons stand out:
Confidence in Expertise – In a male-dominated environment, it is vital to trust your knowledge and decisions, even when faced with skepticism. Confidence creates respect.
Empathy as Strength – Leadership is not just about authority; it’s about understanding people, building inclusive teams, and empowering others to succeed.
Continuous Learning – The lubricant and energy sectors are rapidly evolving. Staying ahead through constant learning and innovation has been central to my growth.
As for the future, I see encouraging signs of change. The industry is gradually opening doors for more women and diverse talent, not only in leadership but across technical, operational, and research roles. Companies are beginning to recognize that diverse perspectives fuel innovation, drive sustainability, and strengthen competitiveness.
At Dana Lubricants Factory LLC, we are committed to nurturing this shift—by encouraging diversity, creating equal opportunities, and ensuring that talent is valued based on capability, not gender. I believe the next decade will bring greater inclusivity, and I’m proud to contribute to paving the way for future female leaders in this industry.
“How does Dana Lubricants maintain cost-effectiveness while continuing to innovate for the needs of price-sensitive emerging markets?”
At Dana Lubricants, we balance cost and innovation by streamlining production efficiency, optimizing raw material sourcing, and investing in R&D that focuses on long-term value. Our products are designed to extend equipment life, reduce maintenance costs, and meet global performance standards—delivering both affordability and innovation. This approach allows us to remain competitive while ensuring customers in emerging markets get reliable, high-quality solutions tailored to their needs.
