Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum order quantity for export?

The minimum order quantity for export is one 20-foot container. This is the most cost-effective shipping method and allows for proper documentation and customs clearance. A 20ft container can hold approximately 16-24 metric tons depending on packaging (80 drums, 18-20 IBCs, or 1 ISO tank). For nearby markets (Middle East), we can arrange LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments for smaller orders.

Can you arrange door-to-door delivery?

DANA Lubes typically ships CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) to destination port. However, we can arrange door-to-door delivery through our network of freight forwarders and logistics partners. Door delivery includes ocean freight, destination port charges, customs clearance, and inland transportation to your warehouse. Request a door delivery quote when placing your order.

Do you provide cargo insurance?

Cargo insurance is optional but recommended. DANA Lubes can arrange marine cargo insurance through our insurance partners at competitive rates (typically 0.3-0.5% of CIF value). Insurance covers loss or damage during transit. If you prefer, you can arrange your own insurance with your preferred provider. CIF shipments include basic carrier liability coverage.

What happens if there’s damage during transit?

In the rare event of damage during transit, the following steps should be taken: (1) Note damage on delivery receipt before signing, (2) Take photographs of damaged goods and packaging, (3) Contact DANA Lubes immediately, (4) File insurance claim (if insured) or carrier claim. DANA Lubes will assist with the claim process and provide replacement products if needed. Proper packaging and container loading minimize damage risk.

Can you provide samples for testing before bulk orders?

Yes, DANA Lubes provides product samples for testing and evaluation. Samples (up to 20 liters per product) are provided free of charge for qualified buyers considering bulk orders. Sample shipping costs are typically borne by the buyer. Samples ship via DHL/FedEx air freight (3-5 days worldwide). Contact our export team with your requirements to arrange samples.

How do I track my shipment?

Once your container is loaded and shipped, you’ll receive the Bill of Lading number and booking confirmation. You can track your shipment online through the shipping line’s website using the container number or B/L number. DANA Lubes also provides tracking support — our export team can check shipment status and provide updates at any time. We recommend tracking regularly to plan for customs clearance and delivery.
