N 70 Base Oil Group II
Group II are hydro-cracked base oils. They are produced by undergoing hydro-processing which increases the level of saturates and purge out impurities. They have fair to good performance in lubricating properties such as volatility, oxidative stability and flash/fire points. They have only fair performance in areas such as pour point, cold crank viscosity and extreme pressure wear. They are defined as having a viscosity index between 80 and 120 while having a level of sulphur lower than 0.03% and are less polar with values less than 10 pS/m very low conductivity
