COLOUR MASTERBATCH-Color masterbatch is a concentrated mixture used to impart specific colors to plastics. It’s a key component in the plastics industry for achieving consistent and vibrant colors in various products. The carrier material of the masterbatch can be based on wax (a universal carrier) or a specific polymer that is identical to or compatible with the natural polymer used (a polymer-specific carrier). Polymers such as EVA or LDPE can be used as carriers for polyolefins and nylon, while polystyrene can be used for ABS, SAN, and sometimes polycarbonates. 

Composition

1. Pigments or Dyes: These are the colorants used to give the plastic the desired hue. Pigments are typically used for their stability and opacity, while dyes can be used for more transparent or vibrant colors.
2. Carrier Resin: This is a polymer that binds the pigments or dyes and helps in the even dispersion of the colorant within the base polymer during processing.
3. Additives: These might include dispersing agents, stabilizers, anti-oxidants, or processing aids to enhance the performance and compatibility of the masterbatch.
