A paraffin-like substance used to coat oil rigs was determined to be petroleum jelly, also known as BF (Liquid Grease). By distilling the waxy petroleum substance that developed on oil rigs, petroleum jelly is created. Petroleum jelly, commonly referred to as white petrolatum or just petrolatum, is made up of the lighter and thinner oil-based products. Petroleum jelly is then produced by filtering the remaining residue through bone char.
Packing

The skin can be repaired and protected using Vaseline. In addition to protecting against diaper rash, vaseline can soften skin, soothe cuts and burns, and help dry, cracked skin retain moisture.
